The Privé editorial board explains their review process, the rubric, and why being selective is the whole product.
Four percent. That is the acceptance rate for creators applying to join the Privé roster — lower than most graduate schools, more selective than most private clubs. The number is not marketing. It is the output of a genuine editorial process that the board has refined over three years.
Every application is reviewed on five dimensions: visual consistency, content originality, narrative coherence, audience relationship quality, and long-term creative ambition. Visual consistency is the most common failure point. Creators who produce outstanding individual pieces but cannot sustain a recognizable aesthetic across a body of work do not pass. Content originality eliminates applicants who are technically accomplished but producing work that is derivative of existing creators on the roster.
Narrative coherence matters because members form relationships with creators, not with individual posts — the arc of a creator's work must hold together over months and years. Audience relationship quality is the most subjective criterion. The board looks for creators who engage their audience as collaborators rather than consumers. Long-term creative ambition is the final filter.
We are building a permanent archive, not a feed. Every creator we accept must have a credible answer to the question: what does your work look like in ten years?
